Neurodiversity Awareness
About Course
This Neurodiversity Awareness Course is a practical, honest, human guide to understanding neurodivergent people – what’s actually going on, what it really feels like, and what you can actually do. This course is for anyone who cares about, works with or provides services to neurodivergent people, including therapists, teachers, coaches, counsellors, HR professionals, managers, support workers. It is also designed to support friends, family, partners and parents. It is also written in a way that it could be really helpful for those who are newly diagnosed or ‘curious’.
Although we reference childhood, this isn’t the focus. We are looking more at adults and older teens.
This isn’t a tick-box exercise, a list of rigid dos and don’ts, or a clinical course. It is designed to give you a clearer, more human understanding so you can do your job, or show up for yourself or the people in your life better.
Great care has been taken to ensure that this course (and all of our courses) are created to suit as many different brains and learning sytles as possible. If you need anything else, please let us know. Everyone’s learning experience is important to us.
The course follows a four-part framework:
- Realise
- Recognise
- Respond
- Reflect
