Too many words? We've got you! You can listen or scroll to the bottom of the page for the nitty gritty!
Let's be honest. Most things aren't designed with every brain in mind.
They're built for people who can sit still for hours without their brain staging a full revolt. People who don't need to pause, rewind, or process things seventeen times before they stick. People who don't have a toddler napping in the next room. Or a chronic illness that makes travelling a military operation. Or anxiety that makes walking into a room full of strangers feel like an extreme sport.
The rest of us? Where learning is concerned, we may have been quietly told it isn't really for us. Sometimes directly. Sometimes just by the way everything is set up.
We disagree. LOUDLY.
Done Different is being built for people who want to learn or implement change, who are even desperate to do those things, but just can't do it the traditional way. And we mean that without any judgement. 'The traditional way' genuinely doesn't work for a lot of people. That has absolutely nothing to do with how intelligent, capable or determined they are.
Learning and coaching that fits real life
We're here for you if:
- You're neurodivergent (diagnosed or not).
- You've always suspected your brain works differently, even if nobody ever gave it a name.
- Anxiety makes many things feel impossible.
- Getting anywhere in person takes serious planning.
- You're a carer and you can't just disappear for six Saturdays in a row.
- You work shifts.
- You have a health condition that makes unpredictable schedules a nightmare.
- You're a parent held together with coffee and good intentions.
We're here for everyone who at some point in their life thought 'I just can't do this'. The truth is, you just hadn't found a way that fitted you yet.
A word from Karen
I built this because I am you.
I have ADHD. I've spent most of my life feeling like I wasn't quite built for the way things are supposed to work. In education, in business, in learning. I've had to figure out my own systems, my own ways of doing things, my own pace.
And when I became a trainer, I met so many people who felt exactly the same. Brilliant, motivated people who just needed things done a bit differently to thrive.
I'm also a qualified therapist and a coach. I've spent years working with people and understanding what they need. Not from a textbook, but from life.
Done Different is the platform I didn't know I needed.
We're here. And we're absolutely here for you.
Karen Trim, Founder of Done Different
P.S. Yes, we know "Done Different" is grammatically incorrect. We're rebels. It's a vibe. What can we say.
The Nitty Gritty
- Most things are built for people who can sit still for hours, read lots and follow a rigid timetable. If that's not you, you've probably been told the problem is you. It isn't.
- Done Different is built for anyone who's found learning or making changes hard the traditional way: neurodivergent people, carers, shift workers, people with brain fog, and anyone who's ever thought 'I just can't do this'.
- Learning and coaching with short sections, more than one way in, plain words, time to pause and real human support.
- First up: Brains: Done Different, neurodivergence minus the jargon, plus self-coaching tools.
- Founder Karen has ADHD and built this because the traditional way never worked for her either.
